Paradigm Pro Wrestling presents cutting edge professional wrestling events in Louisville, KY; Sellersburg, IN, and the greater Southern Indiana and Kentuckiana area. We place an emphasis on showcasing Shoot Style Wrestling, Hardcore Wrestling, and Traditional Pro Wrestling while highlighting a diverse group of athletes from around North America.
Due to the coronavirus, we are currently on hiatus from running live events with fans. BUT we are planning to run another set of crowd-funded empty arena tapings to continue providing you with the best in indie pro wrestling content. You can learn more about this project, and support us, on our IndieGoGo page here. PLUS, you can watch our television show the UWFi Rules Contenders Series on IndependentWrestling.TV every Wednesday at 10PM ET / 7PM PT.
The five-part UWFi Rules Contenders Series airs every Wednesday on IndependentWrestling.TV. The series features a group of Paradigm Pro Wrestling roster members competing with each other, and competing with a group of contenders looking to earn spots on the Paradigm Pro roster, in an empty arena setting with a sports-first style of presentation.
As implied by the name, every bout in the series is contested under UWFi Rules. Named for the now defunct Union of Professional Wrestling Forces International promotion in Japan, the UWFi used a unique rule-set that’s essentially a hybrid of traditional professional wrestling and mixed martial arts. Under UWFi rules, there are no pinfalls – matches may only be won via knock-out, TKO, submission, or points.
“We are serious about presenting professional wrestling as a sport. We’ve been blessed to be able to feature MMA legends like Dan “The Beast” Severn, Stephan Bonnar, and Tom Lawlor on previous UWFi Rules events. Now we’re turning our attention towards the next generation of shoot-style wrestling, all our new competitors showed up with something to prove and the results were outstanding” said Paradigm Pro Co-Promoter Gary J. Wilson.
The UWFi Rules Contenders Series is headlined by a fight pitting former WWE developmental talent “The One Man Militia” Matthew Justice against long-time veteran “The Baddest Man Alive” Aaron Williams.
Additional PPW roster members participating in the series include PPW Heavy Hitters Champion The Hoodfoot, death match sensation AKIRA, Lord Crewe, “Big Beef” Gnarls Garvin, Ron Mathis, Chase Holliday, Hardway Heeter, Lexus Montez, TKD, Flash Thompson, Bobby Beverly, and Don’t Die Miles.
They will be joined by the “Contenders” who are looking to earn spots on the PPW roster including taekwondo black belt Janai Kai, Brazilian Jiujitsu specialist Jordan Blade, former boxer Isaiah Broner, Kentucky All-State Football Player Crash Jaxon, competitive catch wrestler Robert Martyr, former MMA fighter Yoya Shooterweight, young prospect Austin Connelly, and male model Jeffrey John.
The series airs every Wednesday at 10 PM ET / 7PM PT on IndependentWrestling.TV, the world’s largest library of independent wrestling. The streaming service IWTV is available on Roku, Amazon FireTV, Apple TV, iOS, Google Play and more. New users can use promo code PARADIGM for a free trial.
Since 2017, Paradigm Pro Wrestling has produced professional wrestling content that focuses on a variety of different styles and showcases a talented and diverse roster. The COVID-19 pandemic has made it difficult to impossible to produce shows with fans in attendance, so we are shifting to episodic content filmed in an empty arena in order to keep our talent working.
Paradigm Pro Wrestling is a truly independent operation with no outside funding. 95% of our revenue is traditionally generated through ticket sales, so we’re exploring alternative methods of raising funds in order to keep our our roster working.
All proceeds generated from this campaign will go towards the locker room, helping talented wrestlers generate income during a time which their work has largely dried up.
We are looking to raise $2,000 to $5,000 to fund these tapings. All proceeds generated will go towards paying our locker-room a fair rate for their time and efforts.
Our management staff is volunteering their time for these tapings, and Paradigm Pro is covering all other overhead expenses such as production and venue rental fees.
We will be filming new episodes of “PPW No Hook” – an experimental blend of hip-hop culture and professional wrestling that pushes the boundaries of how pro wrestling is presented.
We will be filming new episodes of “PPW UWFi Rules Contenders” – a unique sports-centric format that highlights Japanese-inspired shoot-style professional wrestling.
In return for your contributions, we can offer a unique and exciting set of “Perks” including exclusive content, credits in the show, tickets to future events (when we can have fans agains), sponsorships, and more.

One unique feature of Paradigm Pro Wrestling’s events are that many matches are contested under UWFi Rules. Named for the now defunct Union of Professional Wrestling Forces International promotion in Japan, the UWFi used a unique match style that’s essentially a hybrid of traditional professional wrestling and mixed martial arts.
Designed to be the most exciting form of hand-to-hand combat possible, fights contested under Paradigm’s UWFi Rules are fast-paced, explosive, and often end in an instant.
In the simplest terms, fights may end via knock-out (10 Count), TKO (Referee Stoppage), submission, or by points. There are no pinfalls, no disqualifications, no count-outs, and no time limits. Every fight must have a winner.
To encourage a variety of different attacks, strikes to the hand or neck must be open-handed. Many other attacks are permissible including elbows, kicks, knees, and even headbutts. The wrestlers knock-out blow, the suplex, is also rewarded. When a fighter successfully throws a suplex with knock-out intent, a point will be deducted from their opponent.
A fighter may use a rope break to get out of a disadvantageous position. Following a rope break, fighters will be restarted in a standing position in the middle of the ring. PPW uses a smaller ring than the original UWFi, which increases the frequency of rope breaks and keeps grappling sequences extremely fast-paced.
To keep fights honorable, fighters must follow a code of conduct and may not eye gouge, target the groin, utilize small joint manipulation or intentionally leave the ring. Referees may warn or deduct points from fighters who break the code of conduct, but committing a foul and breaking the code of conduct will not directly result in a disqualification being assessed. (Referees are empowered to allow a brief recovery time for fighters who suffer a low blow or eye poke.)
The point system is in-effect to enforce the code of conduct, limit rope breaks, keep fights fast-paced, and serve as a mercy rule for fighters who are too tough to quit. However victories via points are rare, and 99% of fights end with a finish.
Fighters start with 15 points and if they run out of points, the fight will be stopped. Fighters will lose one point for using a rope break, being suplexed, or committing a foul. Fighters will lose three points when they are knocked down from strikes with a ten count administered. The ringside scorekeeper will make a PA announcement when a fighter gets down to five points, and stop the fight when a fighter runs out of points.
More than anything – when a bout is conducted under Paradigm UWFi Rules… IT’S A FIGHT!
Paradigm Pro first introduced UWFi Rules at the 2019 Fighting Spirit Heavyweight Grand Prix, and has seen used UWFi Rules for select matches at a dozen events. In addition, UWFi Rules are now highlighted on the weekly UWFi Rules Contender Series that streams every week on IndependentWrestling.TV. Click here to watch our shows on IndependentWrestling.TV!
Professional Wrestling historians may note that UWFi Rules have been modernized from the rule-set used by the Union of Wrestling Forces International. Changes have been made to encourage a higher percentage of ‘finishes’. As such UWFi Rules now permit elbow strikes, permit strikes to a downed opponent, and time limits have been removed from all fights.
